2012 Scotchmans Hill Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in new to 4 year old Nevers French barriques for 16 months. Opaque black red colour with a dark crimson red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and mulberry are overlaid by nuances of vanillin cedar, light tobacco and spice. Medium bodied and possessing a relatively elegant mouthfeel, ripe mulberry and blackcurrant flavours are prevalent over cedar, tobacco and spice. Very fine grained tannins are well integrated. Aftertaste of ripe mulberries, blackcurrant, cedary tobacco and spice.
