Medium to full bodied with a slippery supple mouthfeel the palate is filled with opulent liquorice, ripe black cherry and black plum flavours underpinned by chocolatey vanillin cedar, leather, earth and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of liquorice, black plums, leather, chocolatey vanillin cedar, earth and spice.

Other Reviews…
The vineyard was planted in 1972 by Rolf Binder and his father; it became apparent that a small 12-row part of the vineyard consistently produced superior grapes, and in good vintages this is vinified separately. A supremely elegant medium-bodied shiraz that effortlessly stamps its blackberry and plum fruit on the palate, with exactly proportioned gently savoury tannins. I can't remember a more perfect cork. Drink by 2035.
