2012 Rochford R Pinot Noir

Matured for 15 months in French oak of which 30% was new. Semi translucent dark red colour with light brick red hue. The nose displays ripe dark cherry top notes followed by some strawberry, a hint of anise and spicy cedar. Light to medium weight the palate has generous dark cherry flavours intermixed with some anise followed by a touch of earth with a spicy finish. Velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark cherries and earthy anise like characters.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
