2012 Pikes Eastside Shiraz

Opaque black dark red colour with dark crimson red hue. On the nose a bouquet of liquorice and blackberries with underlying cedary vanillin confectionary and some light pepper end notes. Medium to full bodied the palate delivers a rich flavour profile of ripe blackberries and liquorice over a background of toasty vanillin oak and subtle blackpepper. Velvet smooth tannins with medium to long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, toasty vanillin oak and pepper.
Cellar 5-6 years.
