2012 Mollydooker Velvet Glove Shiraz

Super saturated inky black colour that’s totally impenetrable with a very deep black dark crimson red hue. The nose presents an alluring sniff of ripe blackberries, liquorice and black cherries followed by some dark chocolate and spicy vanillin oak. Decadently rich with a thick voluptuous texture the palate boasts amazing concentration and power. Flavours of ripe blackberries, dark plum, black cherries and liquorice totally engulf the palate with a toasty vanillin oak, spice and light blackpepper background. Velvet smooth tannins with exceptionally long and persistent aftertaste of ripe blackberry, liquorice, black cherry, toasty vanillin oak and spicy pepper.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.

Deep purple-black and a little closed on the nose with very pure blackberry and plum preserves, some red fruit and floral highlights intermingled with menthol, espresso and a whiff of coconut and spices, the full-bodied 2012 Velvet Glove is a big, rich and concentrated wine with a great tannic backbone that is both firm and fine. It is complemented by refreshing acidity and a very long finish with the licorice and chocolate coming through. Drink it now to 2025+
