2012 Mayhem & Co Chardonnay

Matured for 12 months in French oak barriques of which 30% were new. Bright straw colour with very pale straw hue. The nose displays stoned fruit aromas of nectarine and delicate white peach followed by some subtle wet stone like characters and funky match stick notes. Light to medium weight and very elegantly textured the palate has flavours of delicate white peach, nectarine, subtle cashew and some funky flinty wet stone like characters on the finish. Clean and dry with an aftertaste of delicate white peach, nectarine, light cashew and wet stone.
Cellar 4-5 years to build further complexity and texture.
