An Outstanding Lusciously Textured Pinot Gris

Wine makers Matthew Donaldson and Lynnette Hudson are the husband and wife team behind Main Divide Vineyard, also the local name for the mighty range of Southern Alps which form the backbone of Te Wai Pounamu (the South Island of New Zealand).

Bright straw colour with a very faint tinge of green on the edges and watery hue. The nose displays intense aromas of rose petal, lychee and ripe pear along with some honeycomb and a touch of confectionary. Big and rich the palate possesses excellent textural qualities with mouthfilling flavours of very ripe pear, musk and lychee followed by some honeycomb and spice. Medium dry with some residual sweetness on the finish the wines richness and texture are well counter pointed by the acid structure. Excellent length with long luscious aftertaste of ripe pear, musk, lychee and light honeycomb.
