2012 M.Chapoutier Tournon Shays Flat Vineyard Shiraz

Opaque black crimson colour with a dark crimson red hue. The nose is a little subdued with aromas of liquorice and blackpepper followed by some meaty characters and smoky oak. Medium to full bodied the palate is very peppery with flavours of liquorice, black cherries, smoked meats and spice also present. Dryish finish with solidliy built tannins providing a robust framework. Elegant structured mouthfeel with very good depth. Long aftertaste of peppered meats, liquorice and spicy smoky cedar.
