2012 Los Vascos Chardonnay

A very pleasant and inexpensive alternative to Australian styles.
Los Vascos is made by the French in Chile, so it's no surprise that this has a European stamp on it, showing restrained oak. Brilliant very pale straw colour with watery hue. Lifted ripe peach and tropical fruits scents are dominant on the nose followed by some melon and citrus. Fruity flavours of peach, tropical fruits and melon drive the palate with some spiciness present at the back. Clean dry finish. Good textural mouthfeel with medium to long tropical fruits, melon and spice aftertaste.
Drink it over the next 2-3 years (2013-2016).
