2012 Lopez Cristobal Tinto Roble

A blend of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Merlot. Totally opaque black dark purple colour with a very dark purple hue. The nose displays aromas of black cherries followed by some liquorice, meatiness and spicy cedar. Full bodied the palate is filled with ripe black cherry and liquorice flavours over some light earth, vanillin cedar and spice. Dryish finish with chewy solid tannins. Aftertaste of ripe black cherries, liquorice, vanillin cedar and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
