2012 Lindemans St. George Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in a mixture of seasoned and new French oak for 18 months. Totally opaque inky black colour with a deep dark purple red hue. Lifted ripe blackcurrant and liquorice aromas arise from the glass followed by some subtle bay leaf, cedar and spice notes. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses abundant rich blackcurrant and liquorice fruit followed by some cedar and spice. The richness of fruit imparting a velvety mouthfeel and largely concealing the solidly built but very fine grained tannin structure. Long aftertaste of rich ripe blackcurrant, subtle liquorice, cedar and spice.
