2012 JJ Hahn Homestead Cabernet Sauvignon

Aged in a mixture of French and American oak barrels. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red hue. Scented aromas of ripe blackcurrants and liquorice emerge from the glass followed by some vanillin cedar and choc mint like characters. Full bodied this is a big rich Cabernet with flavours of ripe blackcurrant and liquorice dominate over a background of vanillin cedar, light tobacco and spice. Slightly chewy mouthfeel with very fine grained tannins. Excellent richness and depth with a long aftertaste of blackcurrant, liquorice, vanillin cedar, light tobacco and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
