Opaque black dark purple colour with dark purple hue. The nose displays scents of freshly crushed blackberries alongside some inky liquorice followed by some dark plum and toasty spice. Youthful the palate has a joosy mouthfeel with succulent flavours of freshly crushed blackberries and dark plums to the fore which overlay some toasty oak and spice. Velvet smooth tannins with medium to long ripe blackberry, dark plum and spicy toasted oak aftertaste. Will be looking even better with 12 months in the bottle.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 14.5%

Other reviews….
Vivid purple-crimson; a totally delicious wine with a spring in its step more frequently encountered in cool climate shiraz; its fruit flavours span blood plum, red cherry and mulberry, these complexed by spice and garden herbs, the tannins fine and supple. Great value. Drink by 2027.
