The 2012 version of Directors’ Cut comes complete with a new sleek black packaging and is rated by winemaker Ben Glaetzer as a year of exceptional quality in the Langhorne Creek region with the potential to rival the great 2004 vintage. Matured for 14 months in new French (80%) & American (20%) oak.

Totally opaque inky black dark crimson red colour with very deep dark crimson black hue. Aromas of blackberries and liquorice waft from the glass overlaid by some toasty oak with choc mint and lightly spiced vanillin oak nuances also present. Big brooding palate loaded with richness that features flavours of ripe blackberries, dark plums and liquorice followed by some toasty vanillin oak and spice. Opulent mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins. Long powerful aftertaste of ripe blackberries, liquorice, toasty vanillin oak and spice.
