2012 Hamelin Bay Five Ashes Vineyard Chardonnay

Brilliant very pale straw almost water like colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. The nose shows very good intensity with lifted ripe peach scents intermixed with some honeycomb followed by biscuity oak, a touch of nougat and spice. The palate possesses both good richness and freshness with flavours of white peach, some honeycomb, cashew and light nougat. Dry finish with a moderately creamy mouthfeel. Excellent acid textural balance. Aftertaste of white peach, light honeycomb and nougat.
