2012 Grasshopper Rock Earnscleugh Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with black tinged edges and a crimson purple hue. Perfumed aromas of ripe dark cherries, violets, anise and strawberries arise from the glass with some underlying toasty cedar and spice. Light to medium weight with excellent drive and carry the palate features delicious flavours of ripe dark cherries, strawberries and anise followed by subtlety toasted cedar and spice. Very fine grained velvet like tannins. Long dark cherry, anise, subtlety toasted cedar, dried meats and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
