2012 Frankland Estate Olmo's Reward

Certified organic this wine is a blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon with a small portion of Petit Verdot also included. Opaque black crimson red colour with a bright crimson red hue. On the nose ripe mulberry top notes are followed by a hint of blackcurrant, light smoky cedar, earth and spice. Medium bodied the palate possesses rich blackcurrant and dark mulberry flavours with a faint overlay of bay leaf. Some cedary tobacco characters and spice follow. Dryish finish, elegantly structured, with solidly built but very fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of ripe mulberries, blackcurrant infused with bay leaf, light cedary tobacco and spice.
