2012 Dominque Portet Heathcote Shiraz

Totally opaque inky black purple colour with a deep dark purple hue. Aromas of liquorice and blackpepper are followed by toasty oak, subtle earth and light spicy vanilla nuances. Medium to full bodied the palate has flavours of liquorice and blackberry overlaid by some toasty clove like characters and vanillin cedar. Good structure with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, toasty clove like characters and spicy vanillin cedar.
