2012 Domaine La Florane Cotes du Rhone Villages Visan

La Florane is matured 50% in concrete tanks and 50% in third fill Bordeaux and Burgundy barrels for around 10 months. Deep dark red black colour with a very dark crimson red hue. Aromas of black and sour cherries are followed by some subtle meaty characters and spice. Medium bodied the palate has good richness with black raspberry and black cherry flavours dominate over some liquorice and meatiness with a very spicy finish. Dry, slightly grippy but fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of spicy black raspberries, liquorice, dried meats and earth.
