2012 Dalwhinnie Moonambel Shiraz

Superb inky black core with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. Nosing reveals blackberry and liquorice scents intermixed with some dried meats followed by some vanillin cedar and blackpepper notes. Medium bodied the palate has good richness but is still relatively tight and compact at this early stage of life with blackberry and liquorice flavours to the fore underpinned by some vanillin cedar, light meatiness and pepper. Dryish finish with very fine grained but structured tannins. Elegant refined mouthfeel with long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, vanillin cedar and light blackpepper.
