2012 Crabtree Watervale Riesling

Founded by Robert Crabtree more than 26 years ago, the Crabtree vineyard has more recently been purchased by two dynamic wine industry executives, Richard Woods and Rasa Fabian. Fans of the wines for some time, their vision is to make the brand the best in the district.

Brilliant very pale straw almost water like colour with faint greenish tinge on the edges and watery hue. Lemon and lime aromas are to the fore followed by a touch of orange rind and some minerally end notes. The palate delivers vibrant and intense lemon and lime flavours over some orange rind and flinty mineral characters. Clean, crunchy acid finish. Long lemon, lime, orange rind and mineral aftertaste.
Drink now or cellar 5-6 years (2013-2018).
