2012 Claymore Nirvana Reserve Shiraz

Matured in both American and French barrels for a minimum of 24 months. Totally opaque midnight black core with a very deep dark crimson red black hue. Lifted aromas of ripe dark plums and liquorice are followed by some fennel like characters, vanillin oak and spice. The palate is very ripe and plummy with dark fruit flavours to the fore followed by some liquorice, fennel and spicy vanillin oak. Velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of ripe dark plum, liquorice, smoky fennel like characters and vanillin spice.
