2012 Clarendon Hills Sandown Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally impenetrable inky black colour with a very deep bright dark purple black hue. The nose is more restrained than the Brookman revealing scents of blackcurrant intermixed with cedary tobacco characters and black olives followed by spice end notes. Medium to full bodied with excellent richness the palate opens up elegantly then firms up towards the finish. It features flavours of blackcurrant and subtle liquorice followed by cedary cigar box like characters, earth and spice. Dry chewy finish with a firm tannin structure built for the long haul. Long powerful aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedary tobacco characters, subtle earth and spice.
Cellar 10-15 years.
