2012 Catalina Sounds Sauvignon Blanc

Just over 2% of this Sauvignon Blanc was barrel fermented in new oak puncheons. Brilliant very pale straw colour with a tinge of green around the edges and watery hue. The nose shows good intensity with aromas of herbaceous grassy gooseberry, passionfruit and citrus emerging followed by some minerally green apple notes. The palate possesses excellent concentration delivering mouthfilling flavours of passionfruit and citrus with a subtle herbaceous grassy overlay and some green apple mineral like notes on the back palate. Clean crisp acid finish. Long aftertaste of passionfruit, citrus, green apple and mineral.
