Described as the Bodega's "Simple Pleasure" El Pics is a blend of fruit sourced from Mas Alta's younger plantings. It spent twelve months in old & new Allier French oak and is made under the supervision of Rhone legends, Michel Tardieu and Phillippe Cambie.

A blend of Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon the wine displays an opaque black purple colour with a dark purple hue. The nose offers up intense black raspberry aromas followed by some black cherry, liquorice, dried meats and spice. Full and sumptuous the palate features rich succulent flavours of black raspberry, ripe black cherries and liquorice over a background of spiced meatiness, subtle earth and blackpepper. Slightly chewy on the finish with solidly built but fine grained tannins. Long black raspberry, liquorice and meaty spice aftertaste.
