2012 Ashton Hills Vineyard Estate Pinot Noir

Matured in seasoned European oak barriques. Semi translucent dark red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose displays perfumed aromas of violets intermixed with ripe dark cherries and some anise followed by some subtlety toasted oak and spice. Light to medium weight the palate possesses a soft supple texture with generous flavours of ripe dark cherries, dark plum, some toasty oak, a touch of anise, some game and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent power wave with long dark cherry, subtle anise, lightly toasted oak, game and spice aftertaste.
