2011 Yalumba Y Series Cabernet Sauvignon

A sound follow up effort to the excellent 2010 vintage.
Deep, near opaque dark red colour with dark crimson red hue. Nosing reveals scents of dark mulberry, dark cherry, tobacco, cedar and spice. Medium weight the palate possesses good varietal character for its price point with flavours of dark mulberry, some tobacco like characters and spicy cedar. Soft fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of dark mulberry and spicy tobacco. A sound follow up effort to the excellent 2010 vintage especially when one considers the challenges of 2011.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2013-2016).
