About as Good as Malbec gets…

Cropped at 2.2 tonnes per acre from the 8 year old 'Rebon' site, and bottled unfined and unfiltered this exceptional Malbec was matured for 18 months in French and American oak, 70% of the barrels were new. Superb super saturated inky black colour with a very deep dark crimson black hue. The nose exhibits intense black cherry, cassis and liquorice aromas intermingling with some toasty vanillin cedar, earth and spice. Gloriously rich and full ; overflowing with ripe black cherries, liquorice and cassis flavours over toasty cedar and spice. Opulent mouthfeel with a lightly chewy finish. Long persistent aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, cassis, toasty cedar and spice. This is serious Malbec, with the wine's liqueur like richness counterpointed by firm tannins. Presently the most restrained of the Bramare reds, it should cellar 6-8 years comfortably and potentially go much longer.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc 15.5%
