2011 Vasse Felix Chardonnay

Matured for 9 months in French oak. Bright pale straw colour with faint greenish tinge and watery hue. The nose shows excellent intensity with lifted scents of nectarine, cashew, citrus and some light smoky flint like notes. Medium weight the palate is dominated by nectarine and citrus flavours showing good mouthfeel and an elegant flavour profile with some cashew and flinty match stick notes in the background. Clean dry finish. Medium to long nectarine, cashew and flinty match stick aftertaste.
Cellar 2-3 years (2014-2015).
