2011 Scotchmans Hill Shiraz

Matured in a combination of new to 4 year old French barriques for 15 months. Opaque black dark red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose displays aromas of ripe blackberry, some toasty oak, dark plum and some spicy liquorice. Medium bodied with flavours of dark ripe plum and liquorice overlaid by some toasty cedar with some spiciness on the back palate. Very fine grained soft tannins with aftertaste of dark plum, liquorice and toasty spiced oak.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
