2011 Savaterre Frere Cadet Chardonnay

Matured for 18 months in French oak barriques. Bright straw colour with pale gold edges and watery hue. The nose has good intensity with aromas of honeycomb and butterscotch followed by some light almond, bacon fat and spice. Big and rich with a fat creamy texture but not broad or lacking vitality the palate delivers mouthfilling flavours of peach and honeycomb followed by some cashew, lees and spicy oak. Clean dry finish with long peach, honeycomb, cashew and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
