This well made Cabernet saw maturation in a combination of French and American oak for a period of 15 months. Opaque black crimson colour with crimson black hue. Nosing reveals top notes of ripe blackcurrant followed by some mulberry, cedar and spice. Full bodied the palate possesses generous ripe blackcurrant and mulberry flavours supported by some underlying cedar and a touch of spice on the back palate. Dryish finish with slightly grippy but balanced tannin structure. Medium to long aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry and spicy cedar.
