2011 Peel Estate Old Vine Shiraz

Totally opaque dark red black colour with a deep dark red hue. The nose offers up aromatics of earthy dried and dark cherries, liquorice and hints of leather followed by spicy vanillin cedar. Big rich palate loaded with sweet black cherry and liquorice flavours which are overlaid by leathery characters. Some earth and spicy vanillin cedar ensues. Slightly dryish tannins have a touch of chewiness to them. Concludes with an aftertaste of sweet black cherries, liquorice, infusions of old leather, earth and spicy vanillin cedar.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
