2011 Pedestal Cabernet Merlot

A blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Merlot displaying an opaque black crimson colour with dark crimson red purple hue. The nose displays very youthful inky blackcurrant and mulberry aromas followed by some subtle cedar and spice. Medium weight the palate expresses generous blackcurrant and ripe mulberry flavours followed by a touch of earth and some spicy cedar. Dryish but fine grained tannins with aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry and spicy dusty cedar.
Cellar 4-5 years.
