An excellent fuller styled Chablis.

Young gun, Patrick Piuze is a recent addition to the Chablis landscape but the wines he has produced so far are already considered amongst the best of the area. Being born in Quebec, Canada, a career in winemaking wasn't really an obvious path for him to take. At age 18, a chance encounter with Marc Chapoutier triggered an immersion into all things vinous that eventually led him to Australia, and then on to Burgundy where he worked for some of the most respected names of the industry: Leflaive, Guffens, Brocard...
Now making wine under his own name, he has forged partnerships with growers on both sides of the Serein, the Chablis river, and has access to a wide range of old vines from different terroirs within Chablis allowing him to showcase the nuances of every village and "Climats" of the area.

Bright straw colour with pale straw hue. Aromas of light pear and cashew are followed by a touch of citrus and some stoney mineral. A texturally fuller style the palate possesses excellent concentration with mouthfilling flavours of pear, spicy cashew and some stoney mineral finishing with some roasted nut characters on the back palate. Clean dry finish. Excellent depth and mouthfeel with long pear, cashew, stoney mineral and roasted nut aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2012-2017).
