2011 Pascal & Nicolas Reverdy Terre de Maimbray Sancerre

Pascal Reverdy’s domaine is based in the tiny hamlet of Maimbray. Maimbray is located in a valley surrounded by chalk hills adjacent to Chavignol and Verdigny. From their small cellar they produce one of France’s most highly awarded Sancerres’.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with a faint greenish tinge around the edges and watery hue. On the nose grassy characters are intermixed with fresh herbs, unripe gooseberry, asparagus and citrus. The palate delivers impressive concentration with a flavour profile of grassy characters, citrus, unripe gooseberry and asparagus with some light dried herbs and spice on the back palate. Clean crisp dry finish. Excellent length with long persistent grassy dried herb, citrus, asparagus and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years (2013-2015).
