2011 Onannon Gippsland Pinot Noir

Semi translucent crimson to dark red colour with light red hue. The nose displays lifted ripe black cherry and dark plum aromas followed by some meatiness and well integrated toasty oak – it shows a riper profile in comparison to the Onannon Mornington Peninsula Pinot. Weightier and richer on the palate with generous ripe dark cherry and plum flavours followed by some cedar, a touch of game and a spicy back palate. Very fine grained tannins showing excellent integration. Good power with long ripe dark cherry, plum, meaty cedar and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
