2011 Neudorf Tom's Block Pinot Noir

Matured for 10 months in French oak barriques. Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with crimson red hue. Lifted aromas of ripe dark cherries and dark plums are intermixed with a hint of violets followed by some meaty game like qualities and spicy cedar. Medium bodied and spicy with plenty of richness the palate possesses flavours of ripe dark cherries, anise and dried meats with some spicy toasted oak on the back palate. Solid slightly dryish tannins provide a strong framework. Excellent power with long spicy dark cherry, dried meats and toasty oak aftertaste.
