2011 Narkoojee Lily Grace Chardonnay

This Chardonnay is sourced from Narkoojee’s younger estate plantings and is named after Harry and Val’s first grandchild, Lily Grace Friend. The 2011 season was very cool and ideal for Chardonnay with the fruit being picked quite late in the season, in late April and early May. The wine was matured only in older French oak barriques in order to express maximum fruit characters.

An excellent value medium to full bodied Chardonnay.
Brilliant straw colour with pale straw hue. The nose exhibits scents of white peach, cashew, nougat and a touch of dried honey as an end note. Impressive palate weight and richness with mouthfilling flavours of cashew, delicate white peach, honeycomb and some nougat followed by a spicy back palate. Creamy mouthfeel. Good length with long honeycomb, cashew, nougat and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2012-2015).
