2011 Mr Riggs Scarce Earth Shiraz

Totally opaque inky black dark red colour with deep dark red black tinged hue. Lifted aromas of liquorice, blackberries and more subtle dark chocolate notes intermingle with some vanillin oak and spice. Fleshy mouthfeel with rich opulent ripe blackberry, dark chocolate and liquorice flavours flood the palate with some underlying toasty vanillin oak and spice characters. Velvet smooth tannins with very long ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and spicy vanillin oak aftertaste. Ben Riggs has managed to extract superb richness, concentration and power from a challenging vintage proving once again what a great winemaker he is.
