The fruit for this wine is sourced from four vineyards in the Wairau Valley of Marlborough, all contributing different characters to the finished wine resulting in greater overall complexity. Maturation took place in French oak for 11 months.

Semi translucent bright dark crimson red colour with light red hue. The nose displays good perfumed lift with scents of ripe dark cherries, plum and anise to the fore with some underlying meatiness and spice. Light to medium weight but intensely flavoured and fruity with a soft fleshy texture the palate features ripe dark cherries, ripe plum and strawberries which overlay some cedar finishing with a spicy back palate. Velvet smooth soft tannins. Good power wave with long spicy dark cherry, ripe plum and cedar aftertaste.

Drink over the next 4-5 years.
