2011 Leconfield Shiraz

Matured in French and American oak hogsheads. Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson red black hue. The nose exhibits ripe blackberry and liquorice top notes followed by a touch of dark chocolate with some spicy pepper like end notes. Medium weight the palate displays a sense of elegance and whilst is shows some upfront generosity it doesn’t flow through to finish lacking some depth. Flavours of blackberry, liquorice, confectionary and blackpepper. Fine grained soft tannins with aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice and blackpepper.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
