2011 Kilikanoon Mort's Block Watervale Riesling

Despite throwing up some interesting challenges, 2011 was up there with some of the coolest summers and harvests the Clare Valley has experienced for a decade. For Riesling, that's not such a bad thing.

This is the most intensely flavoured and crisply textured Mort’s Blocks since the razor sharp 2002 release. Brilliant water like colour with distinctive greenish tinge and watery hue. The nose displays lifted top notes of lemon and lime followed by a hint of talc and some minerally end notes. Excellent palate concentration with mouthfilling flavours of lemon, lime and mineral supported by a steely acid spine. Clean crisp crunchy acid finish. Excellent length with long lemon, lime and steely mineral aftertaste.
Drink now whilst at its vibrant, zesty best or cellar a further 5-6 years (2012-2018)
