2011 Hay Shed Hill Cabernet Merlot

Matured for 12 months in French oak barriques. Opaque black crimson red colour with deep dark crimson red black hue. Ripe mulberry and blackcurrant aromas overlay some cedar, bay leaf and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses good fleshy mid palate richness with ripe blackcurrant and mulberry flavours with some underlying cedary tobacco, a hint of bay leaf and spice. Slightly dryish sturdy, yet fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of ripe mulberry, blackcurrant, bay leaf and spicy cedar.
Cellar 3-4 years.
