- ABV 14%
- Closure: Screw Cap
Marlborough Maestro Kevin Judd has employed a number of different winemaking techniques including wild ferment, aging in older French oak for approximately 12 months, lees stirring and partial malo-latic fermentation to produce a very sophisticated rendition of Sauvignon Blanc.Brilliant pale straw colour with a faint tinge of green around the edges and watery hue. Nosing reveals an intensely aromatic and complex profile of herbaceous grassy gooseberry, asparagus, some citrus and light capsicum with pencil shaving undertones. The palate is a perfect amalgam of concentration, textural mouthfeel and acid balance. Mouthfilling flavours of ripe gooseberry, some herbaceous grassy characters, asparagus, citrus and spicy cedar on the clean dry finish. Excellent length with long herbaceous grassy ripe gooseberry, asparagus, citrus and pencil shavings aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2013-2016)
