2011 Fox Creek Short Row Shiraz

Totally opaque inky black core with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. The nose is very impressive based on the intensity alone with rich heady dark chocolate, ripe blackberry and liquorice scents exuding from the glass followed by some vanillin oak, mocha and spice. Full bodied the palate is bursting with rich succulent flavours of ripe blackberries, liquorice and dark chocolate with some underlying vanillin oak and light spice. Voluptuously textured with velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate, vanillin oak and mocha. An excellent 2011 delivering a level of power and richness that you’d expect to see from a strong year like 2010 or 2012.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
