2011 Couly-Dutheil La Coulee Automnale Chinon

Deep dark purple black tinged colour with bright purple hue. On the nose inky black raspberry and blackcurrant aromas are overlaid by some cedary earth like characters with spicy end notes. The palate possesses good fruit with ripe dark cherries and inky blackcurrant followed by spicy cedary earth like characters. Very dry finish with chalky tannins. Aftertaste of inky dark cherries, earthy cedar and spice.
