Sparkling Shiraz is a unique Australian wine that’s synonymous with the Great Western region having been in production since the early 1900’s. The base wine is left on yeast lees in bottle for 12 months or more and disgorged in the traditional method. The dosage liqueur contains a small quantity of very old Best’s Liqueur Muscat that gives the wine an added layer of complexity.

The wine pours well opening with a frothy dark purple tinged mousse which once dissipated reveals a dark crimson purple base wine colour. Exceptionally fine bead showing very good persistence. On the nose lifted scents of ripe blackberry and dark chocolate are to the fore followed by a hint of liquorice and vanillin oak. Generously flavoured the palate boasts rich creamy textured flavours of ripe blackberry and dark chocolate followed by some liquorice and vanillin oak. Clean finish with long ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and vanillin oak aftertaste.
