2011 Barnadown Run Wildfire Shiraz

Opaque dark red black colour with dark red hue. The nose displays subtle liquorice notes followed by some toasty oak, earth and spice. Youthful freshly crushed blackberry and dark cherry flavours are overlaid by toasty oak and spice. Fine grained tannins with aftertaste of toasty oak, subtle liquorice and spice. Like many of the 2011 reds the toasty oak component attempts to cover the lack of fruit but in the end proves too dominant.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
