2010 Yealands Estate Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose displays primary fruit top notes of dark cherries and ripe plum followed by some anise and a touch of spice. Light to medium weight the palate lacks concentration and fails to follow through with any significant power wave. Flavours of dark and sour cherries are followed by some cedar and spice. Relatively simple. Dryish finish with fine grained tannins. Moderate aftertaste of dark cherries, light anise and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
